Hailing from the Bay Area in a state that birthed entertainment, Batata, notoriously recognized as Abu Batata from YouTube’s viral series “Arab Driving School”, is a pioneer in talent. His Palestinian roots are a key factor in his impact in the Arab community. This self-made entrepreneur, talent, YouTube star, and artist has beat the minute odds of achieving high-status recognition.
The competition was minimal at the start of his career in entertainment, as he was one of the first to do what he was meant to do: bring joy to others with his humor, bring positivity to lives, and to passionately stand up for the voiceless.
A Pioneer in Arab American Talent
His YouTube content left an ever-lasting impact and influence on future Arab-American comedy and other YouTube stars. It is safe to state that Batata has reached a milestone people spend a lifetime to reach: to become a household name. His 100+ million accumulated views and counting have brought families together, awakened masses, and most importantly, served as a motivator to continue to dominate in his industry and community. In the words of Batata, this is all for them: the people.
Music | Podcast | Upcoming Endeavors
With many avenues in entertainment being pursued, he is boldly and successfully executing music, his own show, and future surprises to be soon announced. In 2020, his hit collaboration with Eddy Mack and Matthew Bento, “Buss Down Ting”, was featured on Thisis50, and recognized as the summer anthem. Soon to release a new single, his fanbase is anticipating yet another hit. Featured on The Source as a hit of the year, “I Don’t Want to Talk” has caught the attention of audiences beyond his current fanbase and reached top media outlets. “I Don’t Want to Talk” focused on confidence and labeled the “flex anthem.” What he does want to talk, however, is the launch of his brand new podcast, Batata Talks. This judgement-free podcast/show is perfectly fitted for a host like him. Raw and uncut, the podcast doesn’t solely focus on humor and engagement with viewers and listeners, he also speaks on topics often swept under the rug in his community.
It is evident that the YouTube star is not only remaining as a pillar in his field, but emerging into something even greater. 2021 holds promising announcements, and you all should stay tuned.
We love us a pop singer that takes us back to the 2000’s. Annamation got it right with her single, “Solo”.
Originally from the Bay Area in sunny California, Annamation was exposed to music as a child. Coming from an area home to many talents, it’s no wonder why she belonged there by fate.
Annamation is known for her harmonies. One can easily call her voice liquid gold. The hint of auto tune and voice layering is just right, but nothing in the Cher zone. It’s perfectly tuned, no pun intended.
The music video to “Solo” also is edited to give us the visuals of those bulky old cameras captured on VHS.
Be sure to check out the Michigan based artist, and stay tuned for more releases from Annamation on the way this year.

Who is the woman behind the book “Star Dust”; one of this year’s most prolific reads? You may have seen her? If you haven’t, well then, you’ve been living under a rock, because lately, she has been all over the press. As seen on Fox, NBC and CBS. And, featured in multiple magazines, media and newspaper outlets. From the covers of Black Women Rising magazine, Writer’s Life Magazine to the LA Tribune.
Well, who is she?
Jovahna Marie, better known by her pen name is a four-time published, award winning author, who has taken the literary world by storm. She first garnered acclaim with her fiery romance novel “Setting Fire to the Darkness.” And her gritty and soulful, poetry book “Whiskey for the wounded.” Which received five stars and was regarded by the “Urban Reader” as a spiritual catharsis in written words. Striking again, Author J .M Pozon Released two more poetry books this year. Her highly acclaimed book “Star Dust,” which has been deemed as a hymn to spirituality and women empowerment. And of course, the Steamy, hot, erotic poetry book, “Passion Fruit”; that has everyone talking. Both books can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Still, want to know more? Well, lucky for you, we caught up with Author J. M Pozon and we asked her a few questions. You can check out her answers below.
Q.Please tell us about your latest book, “Star Dust: From Heaven to Earth, We Fall.” What made you write it, and what is it about?
A. Well, I wanted to use my words, poems, and quotes to take women on a journey of spiritual Awakening and self-enlightenment. As far as what it is about, Star Dust is a call to action, prompting women to remember and operate in their truest forms. The poems and quotes contained within the book serve to remind women of their worth, encouraging them to see themselves as more than flesh and bones. We are soul, spirit and energy, limited only by our earthly bodies. It teaches us to acknowledge ourselves as spiritual beings, accepting the fact that within our fleshly domains, an entire universe resides. And once we understand the power, we hold within us, we can draw it out, use it to manifest all our hearts wants and desires.
Q.What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
A. Find your purpose, operate wholeheartedly within that purpose. Don’t dip your toes, instead dive in headfirst and give it everything you have. Have unwavering faith in your dreams, refrain from internalized judgment, skepticism and doubt. You have to truly believe in your dreams before anyone else will.
Q.Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
For me, it is about using my God -given talent and gifts, using them to inspire others. I don’t measure success by how much money I have made but instead by how many lives I have touched.
Q.What’s next for you?
A. As of late, I’ve been doing much more screenwriting and acting. So, you can definitely expect to see some of my movie projects in the near future.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.

In today’s day and age, it is extremely difficult to cross paths with people who care about others and take their time to make sure others who may be in difficult times are taken care of. Meet Tyra Moore, the owner of A Girl Like Me Inc.
A Girl Like Me Inc. ensures that girls, teens, teen moms, and mothers age 11 to 25 are taken care of when it comes to diapers, wipes, baby milk, food, feminine products, baby items, clothing and shoes, and they give them out for free. The help does not stop there. She also provides an extremely helpful mentoring program for all.
Tyra focuses on getting to know each girl personally and what they are in need of. She holds the honor of going above and beyond to make sure that she is there whenever she is needed, with no judgement attached. Tyra came up with A Girl Like Me Inc. because she too was once in those shoes of many others. She became pregnant at the age of 15 without anybody else having knowledge of it and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl the same week he mom found out she was pregnant. With the help of her mom and community, everybody came together and made sure the baby was taken care of for at least 2 years with all of the essentials a baby requires.
This act of kindness led to the birth of a beautiful organization in 2017, A Girl Like Me Inc. Tyra had the intention of paying the help forward to other girls who may be in the same situation as her ever since she received that support. This is a testament to her amazing character. Her organization’s goal is to educate and encourage girls and young mothers to make healthy life choices through classes and mentorship provided through the organization.

Celebrating their recent launch, ‘Le Richi’ proudly presents a new era of fashion. Founder and CEO, Elham Shabani, had the goal of leaving a mark in the fashion industry.
A few popular products of El Richi.
“My goal is to leave a mark on the fashion industry by creating a clothing piece that inspires people to be different, and embrace who they are,” Elham shared. “Everyone is beautiful, and are not told so enough.” His slogan, “life is beautiful”, was inspired by just that.
The young twenty-year-old man with intense aspirations of achieving success has now achieved a milestone. Growing up, Elham would buy and be later influenced by two big brands back in the day, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. The saying is true, when you are feeling good you’re looking good.
“When I was younger, I was always different,” he tells us. “At 9 years old, I was diagnosed with a super rare disease called Morphea that developed on my face, which dented my cheekbones. At 15, I had plastic surgery. I knew God put me on this earth to be different. It motivated me, and I told myself if there is anyone in the world who feels doubtful about themselves because of how they look or dress, I’m going to change that.” His clothing line gives confidence.
Elham always wanted to feel and look wealthy in the way that he dressed, thus came his very own clothing brand, Le Richi. He was very determined as he used to watch documentaries on major brands from France and Italy and take notes so that he could approach his line in a similar fashion. The country of France has a special place in Elham’s heart, so he proceeded to base his brand off that. He searched for many translations from the French language before falling in love with Le Richi, which means “the richest.”
Elham states that he wants people to feel wealthy when wearing Le Richi and plans to make it the next big luxury brand. The logo, which is the Eiffel Tower, stands for elegance and has signs of hierarchy with the French Gallic Rooster. Although Elham plans to make this a luxury brand, it is still very affordable. He plans to target the younger generation with his clothing.
When asked what sets his clothing line apart from others, Elham responded, “what the brand stands for is what sets me apart. My slogan is, life is beautiful.” Elham finished up by stating, “when you put on Le Richi clothing you will feel a special way and you will feel different.” Elham plans to become the best designer in the world.
“I want to create an empire where everyone can take notice and feel special when they wear the piece. I know once I do that I will summit my legacy.”

After a model rehearsal, his life would be changed forever. DeMaris is an actor and director, but DeMaris’ journey began when he stumbled upon a production in Downtown Detroit where he found the producer and asked if any extras were needed.
The producer replied and told him yes and also asked if he had a white shirt, where DeMaris said yeah even though he didn’t. He then ran five blocks to buy a white shirt and came back and things have been going great for DeMaris since then.

Founders
Best friends since high school, Violeta Gjolaj and Giovanna Special always dreamed of one day starting a business together, specifically fashion. Originally, the vision was a fashion line for jeans and various clothing items. Years down the line, the passion and determination to start a line was still present, but there was only a sight difference. They would focus on children’s accessories. Both are now mothers of loving, wonderful children.
We came up with this interchangeable headband idea and would love to grow our business with several variations. We decided to take our ideas and start our own business. We have all kinds of ideas that we’d love to add to our accessory and fashion line in the near future.
Violeta & Giovanna
How do they work?
To start, the headbands currently come in three colors: white, black, and pink. Making the accessory even more awesome, it also comes with a flower and bow that can be interchanged easily. The trick? It’s simple, magnets! Yes, the magnets keep the bow or flower in place, yet are easily interchangeable. Even last minute outfit changes or sassy, indecisive fashionistas do not faze Violeta Giovanna accessories.

Artists normally find their love for music later in life, but for Thomas Göring, he found it at a very early age. At the age of 7 Thomas was singing in his church choir. The influence from the late Michael Jackson is what kept Thomas interested in the craft. He realized that music can be an outlet to expose the things going on around the world and he could speak on anything he desired.
For example, Michael Jackson spoke on issues such as poverty and suffering animals, and this is what intrigued Thomas. He became a singer/songwriter whose music is inspired by the reflection of his own soul. He stated that he writes his music based on his personal worldview. In 2014, Thomas suffered a car accident, but through his recovery he found God and his life was changed forever. Thomas states, “music has pulled me out of some very dark places many times over the years, saving my life on numerous occasions.”
Unstoppable
He has recently released a new E.P. titled Unstoppable, along with a brand-new song titled “I Wanna Fly”.Thomas plans to work with American Rap Artist/Producer Harimini in the country of Germany.
“I hope my music inspires those who hear it. I want to make people feel happy. I want to see people dance. I want to see faith birthed in the hearts of human beings again. This is my biggest dream.”
Thomas on his vision for his music.
You can stay up to date on all of Thomas’ future work by following him on social media:
Pictured above: Eastside RK and Bekah Baby, both Michigan-based artists.
Very rarely do we get a chance to see a collaboration project in music. It takes two selfless artists to put their creative minds together and come up with captivating music, giving up time that they would have had to work on their own project. Bekah Baby and Eastside RK are two versatile artists who did just that. Eastside RK is a rap artist, audio engineer, manager, and owner of his own label, Ride The Wave Records. Bekah Baby is an R&B singer. They released their collab project 10/30/2020, titled Cold World.
The two artists capture different styles of music, with a mixture of hip hop and R&B. After doing a couple features for each other, the sound was undeniable; they had to work on a collaborative EP. They began this project in the Fall of 2019. The production was done by various musicians throughout Detroit and all over the country, including Eujoe Cipher, Jerry Dodrill, Kid Flash, Don P, and DopeBoyzMuzic.
Official music video for “Cold Hearted” via 4everVisionz – prod. by Don P.
