We love us a pop singer that takes us back to the 2000’s. Annamation got it right with her single, “Solo”.
Originally from the Bay Area in sunny California, Annamation was exposed to music as a child. Coming from an area home to many talents, it’s no wonder why she belonged there by fate.
Annamation is known for her harmonies. One can easily call her voice liquid gold. The hint of auto tune and voice layering is just right, but nothing in the Cher zone. It’s perfectly tuned, no pun intended.
The music video to “Solo” also is edited to give us the visuals of those bulky old cameras captured on VHS.
Be sure to check out the Michigan based artist, and stay tuned for more releases from Annamation on the way this year.

Detroit’s own Monsta drops a new hit titled, “Spazzin” ft. Young Dro. From his vocal tone to delivery, Monsta executes his clever, witty lyrics just as hard as the beat itself goes. He prides himself as an artist with an unmatched sound, and his music speaks for itself.
Complimenting the single, the official music video to “Spazzin” is equally entertaining. With an appearance from Young Dro himself and a Mariachi band, the visuals mirror Monsta’s uniqueness, fun personality, and distinct image.
Monsta’s great versatility sets him apart from other artists. Monsta stated, “I’ve been inspired by a lot of artists from different genres and eras. I believe that as my music is heard, a reflection of everything will be present.” Monsta would go on to say that aside from being a father, his biggest accomplishment would indeed be his single “Spazzin”.
Upcoming Releases
Monsta plans to release his newest mixtape Pressure, hosted by legendary Bronx artist Fat Joe, around the new year. On this tape you can expect to hear features from Young Dro, Payroll Giovanni, and Drey Skonie.
Getting involved in your career path at an early age is always the most ideal situation. For DeMaris Harvey it started in the first grade. He got started in acting, and by the age of 25 he began modeling.
After a model rehearsal, his life would be changed forever. DeMaris is an actor and director, but DeMaris’ journey began when he stumbled upon a production in Downtown Detroit where he found the producer and asked if any extras were needed.
The producer replied and told him yes and also asked if he had a white shirt, where DeMaris said yeah even though he didn’t. He then ran five blocks to buy a white shirt and came back and things have been going great for DeMaris since then.
On the set of First Lady 1. Demaris (Left) and K Deezy (right)
DeMaris has now been doing movies and plays for 11 years. He has two new movies being released very soon titled, Not Left in Vegas, directed by Kamal Smith, which will be released November 22, 2020, and Circumstances 2, directed by Swift to release November 28, 2020 on PrimeVideo. With these two movies slated to release in just a week or so, DeMaris is currently working on three other projects: Match Made, Trust Nobody, and Mia Mia.
What separates DeMaris from other actors is the favor of God, his extremely great work ethic, and his undeniable ambition. He lives by the slogan “work even when no one is looking, so when they do eventually look, they have something to see!”
Artists normally find their love for music later in life, but for Thomas Göring, he found it at a very early age. At the age of 7 Thomas was singing in his church choir. The influence from the late Michael Jackson is what kept Thomas interested in the craft. He realized that music can be an outlet to expose the things going on around the world and he could speak on anything he desired.
For example, Michael Jackson spoke on issues such as poverty and suffering animals, and this is what intrigued Thomas. He became a singer/songwriter whose music is inspired by the reflection of his own soul. He stated that he writes his music based on his personal worldview. In 2014, Thomas suffered a car accident, but through his recovery he found God and his life was changed forever. Thomas states, “music has pulled me out of some very dark places many times over the years, saving my life on numerous occasions.”
Unstoppable
He has recently released a new E.P. titled Unstoppable, along with a brand-new song titled “I Wanna Fly”.Thomas plans to work with American Rap Artist/Producer Harimini in the country of Germany.
“I hope my music inspires those who hear it. I want to make people feel happy. I want to see people dance. I want to see faith birthed in the hearts of human beings again. This is my biggest dream.”
Thomas on his vision for his music.

Pictured above: Eastside RK and Bekah Baby, both Michigan-based artists.
Very rarely do we get a chance to see a collaboration project in music. It takes two selfless artists to put their creative minds together and come up with captivating music, giving up time that they would have had to work on their own project. Bekah Baby and Eastside RK are two versatile artists who did just that. Eastside RK is a rap artist, audio engineer, manager, and owner of his own label, Ride The Wave Records. Bekah Baby is an R&B singer. They released their collab project 10/30/2020, titled Cold World.
The two artists capture different styles of music, with a mixture of hip hop and R&B. After doing a couple features for each other, the sound was undeniable; they had to work on a collaborative EP. They began this project in the Fall of 2019. The production was done by various musicians throughout Detroit and all over the country, including Eujoe Cipher, Jerry Dodrill, Kid Flash, Don P, and DopeBoyzMuzic.

Bekah Baby has been recording music and songwriting for the past 5 years, while Eastside RK has been pursuing music for the last 4 years while being a manager to other artists, engineering at RK Studio, and owning Ride The Wave Records. The strong duo has released two visuals from their project, “Cold Hearted” and “Ride or Die”. They plan to release more videos soon from the Cold World EP soon. Eastside RK has a mixtape coming out to the public on November 28, and Bekah Baby is releasing her next album after the New Year.

Tonight, be ready for #NNSFD. But first, let’s introduce the presenter of the show. He has contributed to the community, especially in entertainment. Although he has placed many names on the spotlight, the spotlight is now on him. Read below to meet Jamar Marreign, also known as Tez, or scroll for #NNSFD details.
Who is Jamar Marreign?
More likely than not, you have yet to hear of the rising iconic Detroit native that goes by the name Jamar Marreign and it is by no mistake.
Since 2016, Jamar as a photographer, radio host, music artist, and most known as an event/showcase host, was better known as “Tez Honcho TheHeadHoncho”.
As Tez, Jamar was not only known to present showcases solely on his own but also known for collaborating with bigger names, such as DJBJ 3525 and Crowdfreak, bringing even more opportunities to his many loyal creative influences.
It wasn’t until recently that Jamar decided on the difficult decision to change his name as he did for the sake of being true to himself, his brand, and his same-sex partner.
In an even more recent interview with a NoCityLimit313 member. Jamar explained that living with this burden over his head his whole life, he found it important for him to be able to finally control the narrative, something he wasn’t able to do being bullied as a child. “Being in this industry, it is hard for me because to me, being gay meant giving up music, and that is my passion,” he confesses.
When asked how life has been since he has become open about his sexuality, he explained to us that there is some good, and there is some bad.
“You will never have that peace of mind, freedom, and you will never fully be you until you get over that hurdle. You know you’re broken, and you’ve learned that success is outside your comfort zone, step outside the box.“
JAMAR
Even now as more Detroit creative supporters back his decision, Jamar feels he is in a confusing moment in time for his career, almost as if he’s starting from the beginning. Other than that, he loves being in public, transparent, and unapologetically in love with his partner to his side at all times.
Kudos to you Jamar Marreign. Click here to find out more about him.
In the meantime, be ready for tonight’s show.

Nights of No Sleep but Full of Dreams – Hip Hop vs. R&B edition
From university talent shows to Coast2Coast Live, Michigan’s Rockim is taking home trophies, while reminding hip hop fans that real hip hop is not dead. Read his Medium article here that shares his story.
With several performances coming up, he seems to always win the audience over first. Coincidently, I was at a talent show Rockim performed at, and I was blown away at the performance and how the audience reacted to his song “Confidence” and the unmatched (clean) lyricism the artist is skilled with.
In an era where hip hop/rap music consists of all things negative for the soul and damaging to society, Rockim’s music is good for the soul and brings people together. But before he labels himself an artist, he is a college graduate, advocate for the community, and a child of God.
Photos owned by Rockim Williamson
His most recent accomplishment is his feature on Dave East’s East Side Raps, a mixtape dedicated to the “hidden gems” of hip hop/rap music. “Accessory Freestyle” is on the series’ Volume 6. Click below to stream.
Recognized by Itsbizkit.com, also known as The Biggest Blogger in the World, “Accessory Freestyle” is one of Rockim’s newest hits. Click here to read his feature on ItsBitKit.

While many may recognize his name, his story is yet to be heard. Da Realest is a local producer, engineer, and now music artist. He currently has a debut album coming out July 15th titled, “Lost Luv”. But before his major achievements, Da Realest, also known as DJ Brown, came a long way.
Born Ronald Brown, he would turn out to be a distinct creative in entertainment.
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Ronald began bagging groceries at 12 years old. Around the same time, his mother bought him his first CD player. He listened to his CD player everyday while working. This gift from his mother, eventually led to Ronald falling deeply in love with music.
Aside from his love for music, Ronald also had a love for Basketball, and at only 16 years old he had a promising future in the sport. However, due to an ankle injury, his future plans were shattered. During his recovery, Ronald would sit at home and create beats on his computer. Though the beats were, in his opinion, “whack,” he never gave up his love for the craft. When he was 18 years old, while working at Showtime Pictures, Ronald met a woman by the name of Stacye J.
She showed him his first Recording Studio, and he instantly fell in love with it. Soon, Stacye J began letting Ronald use her studio when she was not. This opportunity allowed Ronald to teach himself how to record and mix. Eventually, as a way to earn money, he started scheduling recording sessions with various artists. Up until 2010, the studio and his work there were running smoothly, and Ronald was living his dream. Sadly, the studio was forced to close and they were ordered to be out by the end of the week.
With no where else to go, Ronald returned to his mother’s home and lived in her basement. Until 2011, he had no way of earning money. Soon, however, his situation began to change. At Greenfield Plaza, Ronald started another studio, but it didn’t last long. In 2012, he started working out of a studio on Michigan Avenue. For 2 years straight, Ronald generated more money than he had ever seen. Though the studio was successful, it came to a screeching halt when the owner of the building decided to sell it. With his back against the wall yet again, Ronald decided he was tired of working for other people and decided to open his own business. In 2015, he was able to get a building on 9 Mile.
Since the building was just an open space, he went to Home Depot and bought everything he needed to create his studio, frame by frame, and wall by wall. It took trial, error, and many set backs, but Ronald persevered through it all. Since he was just 12 years old, his love for music has been undying. Now, he uses his unwavering ability to create music from vibes and feelings, to help others in their quest to succeed in the music industry.
With an everlasting commitment, Ronald is undoubtedly the music professional that will navigate you to fulfilling your dreams.
