Snap Dogg is a known name in the community and nationwide, with an upcoming album on the way. By representing GANS, it is only a matter of time before the hip hop and rap community get hip to the next best cannabis brand to the streets. After all, they do represent themselves as street crafted cannabis.
“GANS is the new kid on the block,” GANS shares on social media, “and we plan on taking over.”
How they will they do so? Well, we believe that cannabis lovers will become “best buds” after trying one of their 13 quality strains. From Purple Pancakes to Killer Bee, all strains have been grown and cultivated in GANS’ licensed Michigan based facility. “Michigan’s own – Detroit grown,” as they say state.

This past March, The Detroit Entrepreneur released a list of our top 5 recording studios in Michigan, which included popular studios like Royal House Recording, Parallel Sounds, and more.
Today, we had the opportunity to follow up with MixedByPhilip, founder and head engineer of Parallel Sounds Studio(s). Ranking at number 2, the engineer responded with, “we are heading for #1” upon announcement. He is doing just that.
Now entering his 9th year in the industry, Phil Saponaro combined his skills, vision, and dedication to bring Metro Detroit’s future stars a quality, comfortable space to create. From recording with the iconic Jeremih to rising local artists, MixedbyPhil has become a familiar name in the music community.
I was really shocked when we made #2 because a lot of the studios on the list were a lot nicer then mine. They have hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment, when do not just yet. The support from the people I work with is what must of did it. I love them!
– MixedByPhilip
Confident entrepreneurs stand by their careers, striving to be the best of the best. With roots in entrepreneurship, he humbly yet boldly states his studio is deserving of the #1 spot. Many can humbly yet boldly say the same, based on positive testimonies alone.
I really think for #1 it’s just going to take us building up our cosmetics. I already know we have the best engineers in Michigan and we are constantly getting better. In all humbleness, nobody in Michigan can compete with our quality. Once my team and I open more fancy multi million dollar studios and (hopefully) steal Julian (of Royal House) I don’t think will have much competition.

Always having been around musical influences as a teenager, his sound was first heard by his child hood friend MIKE DA ROCKMAN.

Armoney Rose, born Quinntez Banks, is a 29-year-old singer/rapper determined to make his mark upon every avenue of the music industry through the release of honest and effective music that genuinely impacts others. From his style to his music, Armoney proudly exhibits his honesty and Muslim foundation while displaying both his growth and hometown influences. The artist showcases this in his single and music video “I Ain’t Gone Lie”. In hopes of making an impact upon people from all backgrounds, Armoney’s sound builds upon the current state of R&B as he brilliantly mixes hip-hop lyricism into his works.
Although Armoney was steadily working on his artistry, his journey came to a halt in 2006 after going to prison for the first time over shooting his father, which soon led him to 13 years in prison and a time period of fast-life choices. Armoney soon found himself facing many troubles due to misdirection and an association with friends in the streets. Moving forward from this lifestyle, Armoney would make one of his greatest transitions as he chose to move away from past doubt, anger, and insecurities by making these issues the focus of his future drive and determination. In 2020, Armoney would go on to connect with A1 Ent.’s CEO Aaron after being introduced by a friend of the label who was facing incarceration at the time. After being released from prison in 2019, Armoney would sign with A1 Entertainment just one year later.
As 2021 reigns on, the release of Armoney’s all-new tracks ”Chicken Dinner” and ”Swear To God” will find the singer collaborating with popular Detroit producer Helluva again; the duo previously worked together on the track ”Getting Off”, which was released when Armoney was still independent. In addition to previously dropping his first full project titled Armoney Experience, Armoney has also worked with Smerf Beats and has performed as an opening act on stage for artists, such as Twista and Baby Blue. With a new untitled project coming in the next three months, Armoney promises fans will be introduced to fresh tracks and surprising guest appearances.
Welcoming many talents in music, it is safe to say that Motown inspired the future generation of musicians. From soul to hip hop/rap, rising creatives are proudly putting Detroit and its surrounding neighborhoods on the map. Our experiences with local artists lead us to the realization that the entertainment business is crucial to the success of artists. With this being said, we have put together a list of 5 recording studios in Michigan that have produced some of your favorite songs by both local and mainstream artists.

Now, this is a given. Royal House Recording remains as one of the most popular recording studios in the area. Along with its top-of-the-line industry level equipment, it holds much more than the average studio: chef’s kitchen/dining room, gymnasium, basketball court, outdoor space/fire pit, and more.
#2: Parallel Sounds Studio (The A Team)
Another given. On the rise as one of fastest expanding recording studios, Parallel Sounds skyrocketed in the local music scene within the past year. Along with music artists, podcast recording space is available. There is even comfortable lounging and a great atmosphere for those joining in studio sessions. Phil Saponaro aka MixedByPhilip, founder and head engineer, has an even greater vision for the brand. Book now to work with “The A Team.”
#3: Tempermills
Another popular spot to record. All the equipment and quality producers an up and coming creative may need is located at this home for musicians. Positive reviews and quality music earned them a well-deserved spot at #3 on our list. To see for yourself, click and book.

Coming in at number 4, this spot provides all things music and more. Proudly located in Michigan, it is projected that the spot will soon birth some iconic artists in the near future. Coincidently, a featured artist on The Detroit Entrepreneur recorded a fan favorite here.

Who is the woman behind the book “Star Dust”; one of this year’s most prolific reads? You may have seen her? If you haven’t, well then, you’ve been living under a rock, because lately, she has been all over the press. As seen on Fox, NBC and CBS. And, featured in multiple magazines, media and newspaper outlets. From the covers of Black Women Rising magazine, Writer’s Life Magazine to the LA Tribune.
Well, who is she?
Jovahna Marie, better known by her pen name is a four-time published, award winning author, who has taken the literary world by storm. She first garnered acclaim with her fiery romance novel “Setting Fire to the Darkness.” And her gritty and soulful, poetry book “Whiskey for the wounded.” Which received five stars and was regarded by the “Urban Reader” as a spiritual catharsis in written words. And of course, the Steamy, hot, erotic poetry book, “Passion Fruit”; that has everyone talking. Both books can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Still, want to know more? Well, lucky for you, we caught up with Author J. M Pozon and we asked her a few questions. You can check out her answers below.
Q.Please tell us about your latest book, “Star Dust: From Heaven to Earth, We Fall.” What made you write it, and what is it about?
A. Well, I wanted to use my words, poems, and quotes to take women on a journey of spiritual Awakening and self-enlightenment. As far as what it is about, Star Dust is a call to action, prompting women to remember and operate in their truest forms. The poems and quotes contained within the book serve to remind women of their worth, encouraging them to see themselves as more than flesh and bones. We are soul, spirit and energy, limited only by our earthly bodies. It teaches us to acknowledge ourselves as spiritual beings, accepting the fact that within our fleshly domains, an entire universe resides. And once we understand the power, we hold within us, we can draw it out, use it to manifest all our hearts wants and desires.
Q.What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
A. Find your purpose, operate wholeheartedly within that purpose. Don’t dip your toes, instead dive in headfirst and give it everything you have. Have unwavering faith in your dreams, refrain from internalized judgment, skepticism and doubt. You have to truly believe in your dreams before anyone else will.
Q.Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
For me, it is about using my God -given talent and gifts, using them to inspire others. I don’t measure success by how much money I have made but instead by how many lives I have touched.
Q.What’s next for you?
A. As of late, I’ve been doing much more screenwriting and acting. So, you can definitely expect to see some of my movie projects in the near future.
Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.

In today’s day and age, it is extremely difficult to cross paths with people who care about others and take their time to make sure others who may be in difficult times are taken care of. Meet Tyra Moore, the owner of A Girl Like Me Inc.
A Girl Like Me Inc. ensures that girls, teens, teen moms, and mothers age 11 to 25 are taken care of when it comes to diapers, wipes, baby milk, food, feminine products, baby items, clothing and shoes, and they give them out for free. The help does not stop there. She also provides an extremely helpful mentoring program for all.
Tyra focuses on getting to know each girl personally and what they are in need of. She holds the honor of going above and beyond to make sure that she is there whenever she is needed, with no judgement attached. Tyra came up with A Girl Like Me Inc. because she too was once in those shoes of many others. She became pregnant at the age of 15 without anybody else having knowledge of it and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl the same week he mom found out she was pregnant. With the help of her mom and community, everybody came together and made sure the baby was taken care of for at least 2 years with all of the essentials a baby requires.
This act of kindness led to the birth of a beautiful organization in 2017, A Girl Like Me Inc. Tyra had the intention of paying the help forward to other girls who may be in the same situation as her ever since she received that support. This is a testament to her amazing character. Her organization’s goal is to educate and encourage girls and young mothers to make healthy life choices through classes and mentorship provided through the organization.

Celebrating their recent launch, ‘Le Richi’ proudly presents a new era of fashion. Founder and CEO, Elham Shabani, had the goal of leaving a mark in the fashion industry.
A few popular products of El Richi.
“My goal is to leave a mark on the fashion industry by creating a clothing piece that inspires people to be different, and embrace who they are,” Elham shared. “Everyone is beautiful, and are not told so enough.” His slogan, “life is beautiful”, was inspired by just that.
The young twenty-year-old man with intense aspirations of achieving success has now achieved a milestone. Growing up, Elham would buy and be later influenced by two big brands back in the day, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. The saying is true, when you are feeling good you’re looking good.
“When I was younger, I was always different,” he tells us. “At 9 years old, I was diagnosed with a super rare disease called Morphea that developed on my face, which dented my cheekbones. At 15, I had plastic surgery. I knew God put me on this earth to be different. It motivated me, and I told myself if there is anyone in the world who feels doubtful about themselves because of how they look or dress, I’m going to change that.” His clothing line gives confidence.
Elham always wanted to feel and look wealthy in the way that he dressed, thus came his very own clothing brand, Le Richi. He was very determined as he used to watch documentaries on major brands from France and Italy and take notes so that he could approach his line in a similar fashion. The country of France has a special place in Elham’s heart, so he proceeded to base his brand off that. He searched for many translations from the French language before falling in love with Le Richi, which means “the richest.”
Elham states that he wants people to feel wealthy when wearing Le Richi and plans to make it the next big luxury brand. The logo, which is the Eiffel Tower, stands for elegance and has signs of hierarchy with the French Gallic Rooster. Although Elham plans to make this a luxury brand, it is still very affordable. He plans to target the younger generation with his clothing.
When asked what sets his clothing line apart from others, Elham responded, “what the brand stands for is what sets me apart. My slogan is, life is beautiful.” Elham finished up by stating, “when you put on Le Richi clothing you will feel a special way and you will feel different.” Elham plans to become the best designer in the world.
“I want to create an empire where everyone can take notice and feel special when they wear the piece. I know once I do that I will summit my legacy.”

Detroit’s own Monsta drops a new hit titled, “Spazzin” ft. Young Dro. From his vocal tone to delivery, Monsta executes his clever, witty lyrics just as hard as the beat itself goes. He prides himself as an artist with an unmatched sound, and his music speaks for itself.
Complimenting the single, the official music video to “Spazzin” is equally entertaining. With an appearance from Young Dro himself and a Mariachi band, the visuals mirror Monsta’s uniqueness, fun personality, and distinct image.
Monsta’s great versatility sets him apart from other artists. Monsta stated, “I’ve been inspired by a lot of artists from different genres and eras. I believe that as my music is heard, a reflection of everything will be present.” Monsta would go on to say that aside from being a father, his biggest accomplishment would indeed be his single “Spazzin”.
Upcoming Releases
Monsta plans to release his newest mixtape Pressure, hosted by legendary Bronx artist Fat Joe, around the new year. On this tape you can expect to hear features from Young Dro, Payroll Giovanni, and Drey Skonie.
